When I was a child, my dad had three stories he told
over and over. Old Prof Burroughs. The seasons will flip. Here today, gone tomorrow.
A few years ago, I started recording the elders of the family as they reminisced about their lives. But by then, Alzheimer’s had robbed my father of his memories. I was never able to videotape his stories. I wish I could see and hear him telling those stories again, now that he is gone. But they are lost forever.
Do you have stories to tell? Do you know someone whose stories you want to capture?
Dinner Table Stories will preserve those memories for you. We will create a chaptered DVD of that special person – telling the stories, sharing the memories, passing on the wisdom.
It’s a memoir. It’s an autobiography. It’s a life story. It’s an heirloom. It’s a keepsake. But most of all, it’s for those who come after.
Dinner Table Stories
will let you tell them
with your own video memoir.
Arthur, 83, wants to tell his life story to his grandchildren. He played hide-and-go-seek after dark, rode his bike into town, played in the marching band, fought in the war, and saw a lot of the country while driving trucks. The world changed a great deal in his lifetime.
Why create a video?

Wendy, 26, is being deployed. She is leaving behind her 4-year-old daughter. Wendy wants to create a video reading a bedtime story, singing a lullaby, telling her daughter she loves her and misses her. She wants to include photographs of their times together.

Crystal knows her parents have many stories to tell. What was it like to grow up in the 40’s? What changes have they seen during their lives? How did they meet? What is the secret to a lasting marriage? She wants a video of her parents, not just for herself, but for her children and future grandchildren as well.

Robert, 38, has a terminal illness. He wants to leave a legacy for his young son and daughter. He wants to tell them all the things he would have said if he could be there as they grow up. Advice about that first date. Encouragement when trying out for the team. How he feels on her wedding day. And he wants to tell about his own life, so they will have a chance to know the child and man he was.
